How to Live With a Decision
In all areas of life there are those who lead, and those who follow. We always have a choice whether or not we want to follow, but a lot of us don’t even pay attention where we are being led.
Most of society will become accustomed to a certain way of life and often do not look outside of the box we reside within to see the big picture. If we turn our mind on autopilot, the world doesn’t have a problem with it. We will simply be taken advantage of and placed into designated areas. I am not saying that the whole world is a bad place, but people have their own interests. For example, businesses are run by people and those people have goals, which may not follow you own. So it is always important to compare your own interests and opinions with those who want to or already lead you.
Defining Your Morals
Morals are important aspect to determine in you life. We all have morals. That is how we make difficult decisions. You have to know what you are morally not willing to do when being led by someone else. Testing you morals is not a difficult task either. All you have to do is something like reading the news. The news is filled with many of moral decisions and that is what makes it interesting. I believe it is because most of us like to see how others have made important decisions so we can formulate our own opinions afterward.
At work you may find a time when you employer asks you to do something you are not comfortable doing. It is at this moment that your morals come into play. Hopefully you will do what is, “right”. Without a specific incident, it is difficult to say what is, “right”. The matter really becomes clear when you narrow you decisions. From this point you can decide the one which you are willing to live with. “Willing to live with,” is a very weighted phrase. The decision you make will definitely affect the future. The impact it will make can often be determined by how difficult the decision is for you personally.
So are you morally sound? I don’t think any of us are. If we knew exactly how to handle each event in our lives’ before it even takes place, we wouldn’t need morals to guide us.
