About and Resources

Hello there,

Somehow you found me, noticed I had an about page, and felt like knowing a little more.  Well, what can I say?  I love to read and learn just about anything.  You can usually find me looking for something inspirational, intriguing, or life alerting to read.  I forgot to mention that I’m 22 as of 2008 (I should probably just insert a script here, but I’ll get to that later…).  I spent about half a year or so studying computer science, figured it was stuff I already knew and that which I hadn’t I could learn on my own.  So I dropped out of college awhile back, jumped head first into a corporate rat race for awhile longer and then came across something called affiliate marketing.  Actually that was not to long ago and now I have a little experience under my belt, and by little experience I mean spent and lost money.  I haven’t reached my goals as of yet, but if you are an aspiring, mild-mannered, yet adventure seeking affiliate marketer like myself then send me an email and perhaps we can grow together.

If you don’t know what affiliate marketing is but are interested, then check out the links below because I don’t want to rehash something that has been said thousands of times before.

Also if you are interested, I’d like to tell you about a few books I have read that are changing my life and I know they can do the same for you:

-Think and Grow Rich

-Check out a man named Jim Rohn.  About 5-10 minutes of him will definitely lead you in the right direction.

-Word of Mouth Manual II – Great book about marketing with a technique known as “word of mouth.”  Of course you know what I am talking about…  When you talk about a product at work, home, school, or elsewhere did you really think that conversation was not influenced by marketing?  You’d think the book would be that which treats or views the consumer as an idiot who mindlessly buys whatever you throw at them, but the book stays far away from that mentality.  It is definitely worth a read for anybody interested or involved in marketing in any form.  After all, the link I gave you is a free download (legal if you were going to ask).

-Hrrm… I’ll throw some more links in here later.

If you are just getting started, but are stuck sifting through the garbage, let me get you started by reading these blogs:

Wes Mahler – Developer of the popular (if you haven’t heard of it go check it out) Tracking202 and self-hosted version Prosper202 services.  These FREE tools are invaluable to any affiliate marketer.

UberAffiliate.com – This guy definitely knows what he is talking about and is possibly the best source I have found thus far for getting yourself into affiliate marketing.

CDFnetworks.com – I also visit this blog on a daily basis because it offers such great advice on PPC (pay per click) marketing. The author will sometimes even video tape himself doing something crazy like rock climbing while he teaches you valuable tips about Affiliate marketing.

45n5.com – One of the first resource type blogs I found on affiliate marketing. Mark (the author) does a video on affiliate marketing every single day. So because he is so dedicated, I religiously visit his blog every day.

JohnHasson.com – It was a bit difficult to find John’s blog, but I’m glad I did. He has some awesome visual videos on Keyword Tracking and other affiliate marketing stuff.

The Affiliate Summit Video Collection – Just recently the Affiliate Summit (a big Affiliate/Marketing convention) released their videos to everyone for FREE!!! I can’t begin to tell you how much you can learn from these videos. I wasn’t able to go to Affiliate Summit last time, so these videos are priceless to me.

There are some other blogs I want to add to this list, but I’m not home at the moment, so stay tuned…
